Have you noticed that the Moon doesn't always look the same. Sometimes we can see the full face of the Moon and it becomes the brightest object in the night sky. At other times, it appears as a just small sliver in the sky. Every month the Moon goes through these different phases. But why?

Did you know that the Moon doesn't make its own light? We can only ever see the part of the Moon that is lit up by the Sun. As the Moon makes its monthly orbit around the Earth, we see different amounts of the bright half of the Moon. This is what creates the 'phases of the Moon'.

Why not print out and display our posters of each beautiful Moon phase? The posters will print upto A3 size.
