Download LTImage

  Downloading

The LTImage software is downloaded as a ZIP file that can be unpacked to a suitable location on your computer hard drive, network drive, flash disk, cdrom etc. As long as the files within the unpacked directory are kept together, the LTImage programme (LTImage.exe) will run fine.

  New in version 4.1

Version 4.1 was released on 25th May 2012 and contains a number of minor improvements over v4.0:

  • Pictures can now be saved as JPEG, PNG and TIFF files as well as bitmap (BMP) files.

  Installation Instructions

Once the file has been downloaded, unzip it to a suitable folder and then run it by double-clicking on the LTImage.exe icon. You can then copy the folder anywhere and it should still work. You can create a shortcut on the desktop or start menu if required.

If you experience problems installing on a school system, you may need to contact your IT manager.

  System Requirements

Operating system: Windows 98/NT/ME/2000/XP/Vista/7/8.1/10
Processor: To deal efficiently with large images, a processor speed of at least 800MHz is recommended.
Hard disk space: About 2MB for the installed program and a further 2MB during installation.
Memory: At least 256MB of RAM is recommended (512MB when using Windows XP or Vista).
Graphics: A minimum resolution of 800x600 pixels is recommended displaying at least 256 colours.

  Non-Windows based computer systems

Since the majority of school computer systems are Microsoft Windows-based, this is the system that we have developed the software for. Nevertheless, it uses very few system-level resources and so should work well in most Windows-emulators on Mac OsX and all flavours of Linux. However, although we endeavour to test LTImage on as many operating systems as possible, we cannot offer support for all possible set-ups.

  Notes for System Manager

LTImage has been designed to make as few modifications to your system as possible. In particular, the DLL files required by LTImage are installed in the program directory and not the system directory.

If you should wish to move the installation by hand or adjust it for your network, the files in the LTImage program directory can be moved around as desired as long as they are all kept together.

  In case of problems

Please note that while we do everything we can to ensure that the software is reliable, we cannot test it under all possible circumstances. Any comments and suggestions are very much appreciated and should be emailed to us (link in the footer). The more detail you can provide about your problem the better. In particular details of your computer system are essential.
